Why Oak Engineered Hardwood Flooring ?Our engineered oak flooring is made by pressure bonding this oak layer to a plywood base or underside, so it looks exactly like solid oak when installed, but due to the layer of plywood has increased stability and can be designed and produced in wider sizes whilst minimising the risk of dimensional movement. Due to this extra stability that engineered oak flooring provides, it tends to behave itself better than solid oak in areas prone to varying levels of humidity, such as cellars, kitchens and bathrooms. It will also handle the drier areas better too but we advise the use of a Thermo-Hygrometer to monitor its surrounding conditions at all times.
